Dr. Andrew Patrick Nelson, Chair of the Department of Film and Media Arts and Associate Professor of Film Studies at the University of Utah returns for our annual Summer Film Series with films selected to pair perfectly with our new exhibition, Still in the Saddle. Join us for fun flicks, food truck fare, and beer. Nelson will lead a lecture beginning at 1:00pm followed immediately by the film.

Books, who comes to Carson City, Nevada and receives a grim prognosis from his physician. Learning he only has only weeks left to live, Books takes up residence at the boarding house of the widow, Mrs. Bond Rogers and her incorrigible son Gillom. As word of Book's condition spread he is forced to recon with his reputation as well as his mortality. Before deciding to shorten his suffering in one last battle he takes Gillom under his wing to teach him how to be a man of principle.
